Another Delightful Stay...
Another delightful stay in the Coach House over Christmas so we could visit family and friends from Chester to Lancashire. The Coach House has been finished to an exceptionally high standard and shows no signs at all of wear and tear. It's an ideal location and superb accommodation, great for both travelling around the area and closing the doors in the evening and settling down in comfort with a good book. Because it's twenty minutes or so outside of Shrewsbury it also benefits from very dark skies, and being in that part of the world there are clear views almost to the horizon. As a result night-time skies can be exceptionally clear and this time we were afforded spectacular views of Mars, Jupiter, the Pleiades and the great nebula in Orion - all from the kitchen door! Special thanks to Donna for being flexible with dates over Christmas, we look forward to visiting again in 2023!
Absolutely Perfect
We stayed in the Coach House, one of the loveliest cottages we have ever stayed in. Very spacious, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. It also has its own parking and a large private garden. Everything about it felt luxurious. We were lucky enough to stay in December so there were Christmas decorations up which was wonderful. Perfectly situated to explore the lovely towns of Shrewsbury and Ellesmere and the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Highly recommended.
This One’s A Rare Find
We had a really great stay here, the accommodation was comfortable and had everything that we needed for a restful week. A really nice base for exploring the surrounding area. This is one of those places that once discovered it will soon become a favourite place to spend some quality time at.

Great week in Shropshire staying at The Dairy, comfortable and clean accommodation. Visited beautiful scenery of Shropshire, Attingham Park, Carding Mill Valley and several market towns, lots of coffee shops. A little gem.
Beautiful Cottage Gorgeous Location
We had a wonderful stay with our dogs. A lovely cottage with all the facilities that you could possibly wish for, very cosy and welcoming guests as well. So many places of interest to visit close by. Visited the Parlour in September.
Wonderful Accommodation In A Lovely Setting
A 4 night stay in the Coach House, it was fabulous. The location is excellent rural yet not remote. The standard of accommodation is excellent, clean and comfortable with everything and more that you need. Nice safe spacious garden for our dog who loved it. Donna is an excellent host, warm and welcoming and a gold mine of information on the area and the many things to see and do. We’re in the process of booking again this time for a week.
Lovely Tranquil Cottage
We had a lovely stay at the end of August for a few days in The Parlour. The cottage is immaculate well-furnished and well equipped. The garden is large and completely enclosed where we were able to enjoy the excellent weather. Donna the host came to welcome us and provided us with some welcome goodies. We visited Colemere Lake and Ellesmere which are great for dog walks. The local pub is dog friendly, we enjoyed a very tasty lunch.
Second Time
This was our second visit to The Dairy at Springfield Barns. Even 18 months between visits the standard of accommodation, amenities and warmness of the owners remained excellent with a few extra improvements, not that they were needed. The new bed made it even cosier and we will be back for a third visit soon.
Dog Friendly Heaven
Had a lovely 2 weeks at The Parlour. What an amazing place. It’s super clean and Donna the owner has thought of everything it really is like home from home. Our two dogs loved the garden, it was so peaceful all you could hear are the birds and there is a lovely big sun canopy when it is too hot, it’s also great at night to sit and have dinner. It is so near lovely walks and nice eating places that are all dog friendly, we will certainly be back.
Beautiful Cottage In Peaceful Surroundings
The cottage was even better than our expectations. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and everything you could need for a home away from home. Donna had thoughtfully provided a welcome basket, she was a great host, giving us a lovely welcome and providing lots of local information. The access to a dog walking field was brilliant and the gardens were very secure. There were places to visit a short car ride away. I would highly recommend this cottage and will definitely be staying here again.
Excellent Week In Ihe Coach House
We stayed for a week in the beautiful Coach House. The property is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We didn't get to use the fire (as the weather was too good) but I imagine it would be lovely in the winter months. The fully enclosed (large) garden area was brilliant for the dog and an added bonus is a separate courtyard area which is a beautiful sunny spot for a cup of coffee in the morning. Communication with Donna was excellent and I would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break in quality accommodation.
Fabulous, Cosy And Comfortable Home From Home
Had a wonderful holiday in Shropshire area staying in The Parlour at Springfield Barns. Such a joy to come back to a very comfortable and well thought out cottage with a wonderful peaceful garden to relax in after a busy day exploring. Donna sent lots of really useful information before our arrival which gave great insight into the cottage facilities and things to do in the area. Would definitely recommend the cottage and our dog loved the garden.
Excellent Few Days At Springfield Barns
What a lovely spacious, organised and beautifully decorated barn, large private enclosed garden and an enclosed patio. Bedrooms were so comfy and warm as was the whole of the building. There are lots of fabulous places nearby to visit and next to the barn is a large private field for exercising your dogs.
Amazing Barn Conversion In Beautiful Shropshire
Just returned from a fabulous week staying in the Dairy, one of the 3 stunning barn conversions near Shrewsbury. We arrived on a sunny day and enjoyed sitting in the garden with a glass of wine overlooking open fields, followed by seeing the most amazing sunset. The Dairy was spotlessly clean and had everything you could wish for. We received a warm welcome from Donna & Ian and really appreciated the welcome goodies. The Diary is all on one level, so was absolutely perfect for our blind Cockerpoo, she loved it! Donna was really helpful with information and recommended places to eat and visit. Would highly recommend the Loopy Shrew (Dog Friendly) in Shrewsbury and the Dingle was well worth a visit. Will definitely return to the area and most certainly stop at Springfield Barns again. Thank you Donna & Ian for sharing your lovely barns with us.
