DOG POLICY
As dog owners ourselves we very much welcome trained and well-behaved dogs as guests. The maximum sized dog we accept, unless otherwise agreed prior to booking, is a medium sized dog such as English Cocker Spaniel or Border Collie. Each cottage has a permitted maximum number of dogs permitted.
For the safety of all dogs and comfort of dog free guests, dog owners must ensure the following requests are met:
-
When walking around the perimeter and main drive of Springfield Barns dogs to be on lead at all times.
-
Due to our rural setting and livestock in adjoining fields dogs must be under control at all times.
-
Off lead exercise on the field only when the dog has recall ability.
-
All dog waste shall be removed and placed on the dog waste bins provided including the field area.
Inside the cottages:
-
Dogs must stay off all furniture including settees, chairs and beds.
-
When booking with dogs, throws are provided for the sofas and reading chairs. This is to protect the furniture from transferring hairs not dogs!
-
Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms and other carpeted areas.
-
All puppies staying to be in a crate overnight.
-
Dogs must never be left alone in the cottage or garden. A dog sitting service is available to book on site.
-
As there is no additional cost for dogs to stay with us it is expected prior to departure that the cottage is free from dog hair.

In keeping with our standard Terms & Conditions Springfield Barns are to be notified soonest of any damage during your stay. Small accidental breakages (eg crockery) will not be charged for however larger items or damage to the property or equipment will be charged for at the replacement value.
