Our Visit England 4 Star spacious barns are situated in the heart of the tranquil hamlet of Marton in rural North Shropshire just 10 miles from Shrewsbury.

 

We became the custodians of Springfield Barns in 2009 and have converted them over 12 years to become our homestead and 2 beautiful holiday barns.

​Shropshire is a gem of a county with so much to explore within easy reach. The north of the county offers the meres, mosses and canals along with the county town of Shrewsbury. Whereas, the south of the county offers the stunning Shropshire Hills and food renowned market town of Ludlow. The county is home to Ironbridge World Heritage Site and National Trust site Attingham Park.

 

Shrewsbury is the birthplace of Charles Darwin and is a wonder of medieval black and white buildings. The town offers fantastic dining, individual shops, craft markets, museums, art galleries and the stunning Dingle within the Quarry Park.

If exploring around the county is further than you want to travel and you are looking for a more relaxing break, the local area offers excellent walks (flat and hilly) and very popular cycling routes (mountain and road) along with outstanding country pub dining.
